Pink Sabbath- The Celebration of the Wide Awake Woman

"Wake up! Wake up! Cries the poet Kabir- "The only woman awake is the woman who has heard the flute."
The music played on the flute is the music of love and feminine wisdom; the flute is love itself. The wide awake woman plays the notes and creates the music, which arises from her inherent feminine being, that for the most part, she begins to demonstrate in her youth. As the basic root in the tree of life, it produces the branches that enfold humanity, and is the purpose of woman's creation. The recognition of this music is our introduction to our feminine purpose as the foundation whence cometh all love- for it creates the communion between the male and female aspects of life, which in turn brings forth the fruit of that love, in ever evolving circles.
Although in our Western culture, as with the Greek and Roman cultures, the part of the flute player is represented by the goddess Aphrodite/Venus; the music is the same, the alluring, compelling sound of love all women must hear to be awakened to their feminine selves.
Only upon this realization does the girl become the woman; capable of recognizing and exhibiting all the aspects of the goddess within. Although the aspect of Aphrodite/Venus is the primary influence, its prominence is a preliminary into the guiding pantheon that demands our feminine allegiance. Reigning over this pantheon is the Queen- the Great Mother Goddess- whose tentacles emanate from her vast and far-reaching aspect, giving intensity to the glow of all other goddesses within her circle.
The warmth and glow imparted by the goddess of love encourages and sets the stage for the communion between the male and female; which is optimistically expected to be followed by absolute human and spiritual consummation; that which blossoms and blooms within established common purpose. In order to reach this climax of spiritual and sexual communion, we needs must gain a maturity to our newly acquired and delightful purpose. This communion may only be gained through time, experience and dedication to its growth and development. We may very quickly discover that we harbor a multitude of mistaken assumptions concerning the love experience- assumptions incurred from our own particular lifetime analysis, and impressions left by our society's demonstrations; including observations of, and exposure to the actions of significant others in our life. The essence of our personal and private center, although embroidered over by these superficialities, will remain untouched and pure in its original form. This essence must be uncovered and awakened to ensure mature sexual communion.
It is our imbued moral obligation to unearth this vast treasure of our inceptive original self, which has been forbidden and obstructed by society's expedient efforts toward organization and civilization. The full realization of a woman's spiritual unfolding must incorporate this vigorous and tenacious bough from the tree of life. To see beyond and through the dark miasma of denigrating fear and guilt cast over our fundamental god-given nature, is our greatest challenge now, as feminine women. In order to meet this challenge and conquer these obstacles, we must first wake up- wake up from our induced dozing and realize that the morning of our freedom of self has arrived; the day must be fully lived, explored and utilized. The wide awake woman finds happiness within the rejoicing of her newly-found actuality and self-purpose. This enlightenment reaches into the farther corners of her projected life to warm, embrace and share with all others encompassed within her sphere. We press this hard-won trophy close to our breast, to guard and protect it from the pillage, theft and conceit of society's misconceived defenses.
In the male-oriented societies of the past, the feminine goddess was thrown out with the bath water, so to speak- obviously because of lack of faith and trust in the female's ability to direct her own nature in accordance with the laws and rules of the society in which she lived, and in which she had no say in governing. We are now living with the results of the male-dominated earth.
The clarion call of our time is the outing of the goddess within; a reveille to the danger of nodding off into a false sense of security; an alert to the possibility of injury to our feminine persona incurred by the necessary militant stance taken by the women who fought with skill, initiative and perseverance in the face of overwhelming resistance to bring about and actualize the women's feminist movement. It is incumbent upon us now, to awaken and arouse the goddess in all her aspects- to polish her to a gleaming shine, that she may take her rightful, long-denied position in the pantheon of humanity. Since balance is essential to everything we do in life, we and our partners in this search for ultimate unity, must seek to progress in sync, and together exist in sync with the rhythm of the universe. There is no threat or challenge in the action of the goddess; au contraire- women yet wish to merge in peace with men- in every sense of the word.
The new wide-awake woman no longer loves men to death; she desires to love them alive.

Wide Awake I feel the woman with flute that is in you.It is true that in the Hindu religion, women enjoy more rights than male partner for centuries. Resulting, many Hindu women live their lives with an inner smile and many rose to the deity. Hindu man perceives female partner is more sources of spiritual enjoyment, compassion and kindness than a source of sexual pleasure and think divorce is a sin. Hindu woman perceives male partner is the symbol of his divinity and still smile flute called Lord (Swami) and surrender to him in true love.Descended, there are more divorced men and women in the west, while it is negligible in man and woman in India especially in the Hindu follower of Krishna and Kabir. The Hindu writings, like several others I've dipped into, do indeed reveal the basic truths of humanity- which is what I basically study. I thank you for your learned comment.- Always- Ella
What men feel intimidated or frightened by is a strong, self respecting woman. Most men want someone who they can look down on, to elevate their poor self esteem; but, then, most men are not self respecting.Any self respecting man wants an equal, not a subordinate, so very contrary to the Bible dictated man-woman relationship, where a woman is mere 'property'..They are now rewriting HIStory into HERstory. But, how does one achieve, or " ensure mature sexual communion"?I LOVE to watch a woman play a flute......Thank you again for an intellectual feast of ideas; your word salad betrays that in a previous incarnation you must have been an 18th century poetess.Always teasing,PaulWell that's a lot better than what I thought I probably was! If karma reveals a former lifetime, I don't even want to think about what I may have been. Thanks dear- I LOVE to watch a man tease-Always- Ella
