A Philosophically Oriented Case for Reincarnation

"This may be true in theory, but does not apply to my reality." The foregoing is a commonly held opinion in regard to the cycle of human rebirth we call Reincarnation.

When we grasp the realization that no action on earth follows a natural conclusive end; we may form a theory from this judgment; a theory of rational deduction which needs must have a valid priority from nature itself, which is the default priority of life on earth, and of which Man is the pinnacle result.

Priorities are perceived as self-evident deductions formed and conceived beforehand by actual experience or objective observation. Both priorities of empirical knowledge, which can be validated by experience alone, and metaphysical knowledge, which is not perceptible by the physical senses, but relies strictly on intellectual perception, must needs be employed to discover the reasonably acceptable truth, or lack thereof- of such a theory as Reincarnation.

Since nothing in this world has been found to be irrefutably proven- everything must needs be a supposition to the farthermost degree we are capable of supposing by experience or intellect.

Even the holy grail of mathematical science must have priorities of supposition at its base.

We'll begin with the metaphysical priority supposition that "nothing comes from nothing," validating this priority by the rational observation that if something is detected by either empirical experience or metaphysical reason, then it had to have been derived from something else.

From this, we now arrive at the gates of cause and effect; which is reasoned by both empirical priorities as well as metaphysical priorities.

Animals, unlike Man, do not attempt to analyze their world, except to the limits of survival- they simply exist in it without reflective question; whereas Man, who has developed intellectual reasoning, is capable of understanding and analyzing the holy trinity of the human being- mind-body and soul. The almost imperceptible, but steady improvement of Earth's nature through evolutionary rebirth may also be discerned in human nature through mankind's steady evolutionary rebirth, as noticeable predisposition toward less cruelty and evil. In humans this could be seen through reasonable observation, as a consciousness of prior evil acts, and therefore constitute a metaphysical priority for reincarnation.

Using the validated priorities of all three of these human aspects should lead us to the reasonable assumption that everything in this world, including us, is connected to some priorities; and that the original undercurrent theme of this world, as revealed to us by nature itself, is the continuing cycle of life-death and rebirth.

Starting with the priority engendered theory that we humans are the epidemic objectified revelation of life on earth; the aspect of the soul, as projected through the mind, would reasonably exist as a priority to the physical empirical priorities; in that its substance, if you will, is of intellectual thought; and thought must needs always precede action.

The possible divergence of this path of reasoning is observed in our propensity for illusion- that which takes definite, but limited form of a thing, yet is not a determined reality. This deviation can cause conflict with our brain's natural proclivity to hold the retaining line of logical reason. This function, when in full effect, grounds, we might say, the proclivity of our nature to hallucinate too far into fantasy delusions. And yet, this ability, too well inhibited, may prevent the full realization of our creative processes. The key in this area, as well as in all areas of life, is balance- which may be achieved by the application of maintenance and fine-tuning of our equipment, so to speak..

We may see in the priorities of Earth's primal nature, the built-in scales of checks and balances engineered by evolution, to some useful purpose, and discarded at the decline of that usefulness.

We, being a natural part of that nature; do possess this ability of checks and balances, and will employ them upon their discovery.

Reincarnation may be said to be our soul's function of checks and balance. Although our brain at birth is newborn in the flesh, it is the spirit within, which is projected through this unseasoned, inexperienced, raw filter, if you will, that is not. Unimaginably aged; it holds within, the wisdom, knowledge, scars and follies of its earthly experiences and beyond.

Rational, deductive reason then tells us that this experience must needs be the valid priority of the soul- from which we extend our empirical and intellectual experiences in this lifetime i.e.,. Something cannot come from nothing.

Yet only certain strains from these priorities need be manifest in each lifetime; these being the particular strands, if you will, which need be altered and remedied at this juncture in the evolutionary journey of our soul- this journey revealed through the solidity of the Philosopher stone's eternity.

We arrive again at the juncture and purity of cause and effect-Through observation of conflicts in our lives, which bear no discernable resemblance to the priorities of this lifetime, we gain the recognition of previous empirical experience, and metaphysical cognitive perceptions, which must by reason, be reflections of our priorities at this birth.

It would seem that the same reasoning powers that allow for the acceptance of rebirth within the earths natural elements would preclude that as a priority for the human being; separating Man, to some degree, from the basic natural patterns of the earth. This intellectual reasoning would then necessitate another set of priorities from which to base its suppositions. How did the illusion of these priorities enter our supposed earthly reality? A puzzle to ponder- an answer to seek.

Reincarnation not being a nascent knowledge and assumption, would seem through analytical reasoning and research, to have been amongst the earliest and original priorities of mankind's natural belief system, before it was overtaken in greed and avarice by the pillage of later religious doctrines and dogma; which dogma, through fear and ignorance, induced mankind to the belief that the only salvation lay within the foundations of these self-serving institutions. Since humans do like, and will take short-cuts in any given situation- it was probably an easy sell. But we did eventually learn that if something looks and sounds too good to be true- it probably is.

The metaphor of physical hunger may aptly demonstrate our soul's need for reincarnation. Just as our hunger for food is not indefinitely satiated by one day's engorgement of food; neither can our soul's need for the sustenance of life's experiences be fulfilled in the short moment of one lifetime.

Reincarnation may offer us the opportunity to discover intellectual metaphysical priorities not available to us by any other means on earth; and may, as in earth's natural reincarnation, be discarded at the decline of that usefulness. .

Bravo Ella!! I absolutely love your third last paragraph. My take on this? We can debate God and the Universe and the origins and meaning of life in this experience and beyond until the end of time, and we may be right in our conclusions and we may be wrong. I think it's entirely possible that our minds function with a rather finite operating system that actually might not be built to decipher ultimate truth!

Thanks Jenn- It does seem that we've always been compelled to debate and ponder these things- maybe we're just doing what comes naturally- Humans have learned so much over the centuries- by pondering and trial and error- experience......I think this earth is a learning place- and when we've learned all we can here- we'll go on to the next level of learning- wherever that may be
Thanks again Jenn- Always- Ella

Hi Ella, reincarnation is a theory for those who don't want to believe it, but through ages it has been accepted by different cults and religions. In India, we always have a saying that one must be reborn to finish their karmic debts. Even if it is to pay back somebody an amount as small as a single penny. That account must be fulfilled.

There are questions about new born babies dying after minutes of delivery or even those others still born. This means that the soul had to live for a particular period in the womb to finish some karmic debts with its mother. The simple saying goes - "We are all here to finish something". I had written an article about this years back also and would love to add more to this topic. One must be reborn to attain salvation. Thank you.

With all the noise in our head, around us and the distraction, it’s not getting easier to become more conscious and gaining insight about this subject.

Thank you so much Walter- I so much appreciate your response- What you say is certainly true- that's why we continuously search for ways and means to quiet our minds- in order to establish a clear thinking path- Always- Ella

Just some minor criticisms. Others may have a different opinion, but I found the language a little unnecessarily difficult, kind of like reading the United States Constitution.

For example, where you write, "We, being a natural part of that nature; do possess this ability..."

Why not just write, "Being a natural part of that nature, we possess this ability..."?

Also, I had a hard time following the logic, A-> B-> C. In the end I didn't quite see how the conclusion was arrived at. But that may be my deficiency, not yours.

I do appreciate constructive criticism- and thank you for your inadvertent flattery........... I'm sorry you had a hard time following the logic- not everyone is comfortable with philosophical thought- I don't feel there is a deficiency on either part- just a difference in writing styles- ergo, the misunderstanding-

Ahhh, the sweet laden symphony of hope and salvation. Said many a time, in many a different way. However none have said it with any more aplomb than have you. I however as you know, believe that we get but one chance to be the best that we can be, and do the best that we can do, and that is why it is so important that we leave as indelible a mark of goodness on this earth that we can leave. Your version is far more romantic than mine though, I must concede. Another fine article, by the same fine woman.

I am so thankful for your kind and faithful readership- I too believe that we get just one chance, in this particular incarnation, to do our best- to cleanse our soul as much as we can- to be better- the next time- not dragging so much unresolved karma behind us- holding us back and slowing us down- each incarnation is important, and none should be wasted- each one is a golden opportunity. Thanks Dave- Always- Ella

A very skilfully worded and intelligent write, Ella. I wonder if you have experienced any flash backs? I know about some of my lives now and it helps me. Have you heard of the Akashic Records?

Exceptional article Ella and yes reincarnation is common here. Maybe because

it takes many returns to see something many here are not.

To change the world is to change our living and our beliefs.

I see this world as one huge manufacturing world producing billions of useless

junk for greed, plastic and physical possessions we dont even need.

Many here have become so deep in this money belief they see nothing but

money and what it buys instead of seeing the terrible imbalance this polluting

manufactures are causing affecting all life.

You wonder what they see if they can see anything at all.

I believe in living in freedom, living by truth and by natural laws of the universe and

life.

I dont believe in systems, money, controlled belief systems of religions and

world control of language.

Believe in yourself, in freedom, in truth, in love and most of all believe you are

a spiritual being NOT some mammal with an intelligent brain.

Your writing is beyond this world Ella and you're on your way to higher places,

higher worlds.

How do I know this? well,,lets say there are many worlds out there

just as there is life everywhere.

Good luck with your journey Ella
