Three Wishes Tossed into the Magic Wishing Well of Life

All magic bears the seemingly invisible machinations of reality beneath its glossy surface.

In order to produce what looks like life’s magic; we needs must know and use the machinations (causes) of these effects.

There is no real Magic- only what appears to us, in our unknowing state, to be magic. It is all contrived- it is all created, by us, the magicians.

The Symbolism of the Magician

The fool encounters the magician- skillful, powerful and self-confident; the halo of the infinite above his head. Mesmerized, the fool gives up to him, the inherited bundle in his hands.  The magician, pointing his finger to Heaven then Earth- touches the bundle with his wand, magically revealing its wondrous contents:

The sword of intellect and communication

The fiery wand of passions and ambition

The chalice of love and emotions

The pentacles of work, body and possessions

With these tools, we can create anything we need and desire in life.

Here’s the question: Did the Magician create these things magically or were they already in the bundle- which he simply opened?

  1. I wish for the wisdom and courage to open my own bundle.
  2. I wish for the ability to use the contents of that bundle, to the fullest extent of their effectiveness.
  3. I wish to leave the vestiges of these granted wishes, to others.

“Be careful what you wish for; you just may get it.”

A wish is a terrible thing to waste.  A wish is a thought, and what we think, may come to be.  Here’s to wishing well.

Ms Ella, it appears we are somewhat parallel in our definition and expectation of wishes. I find it interesting that we both vouch for the need of caution in wishing. I encourage the care in wishing because of the messes I have made when I acquired a wish that was not properly developed. Ouch!

I am so glad I have discovered you. Don't ever leave SW. I now officially need to read you. Don't take the burden on lightly, sometimes I can be needy.

Seriously, you have a wonderful talent. I am trying to write like you do and I can't. I will let your "pure prose and near poetry" teach me.

Yours,

Christofer
