Zombies-The walking Dead-Is this the Fate of Humankind?

“I’m walking here!” a cry of protest against any interference that may pose an obstacle on our steady focused path through life. A meandering, sometimes treacherous path, it is strewn with signposts at every bend and turn, offering directions to those of us who may otherwise become irreparably lost. The most frequent of these posts, one that grows in progression as we travel, reads: THIS WAY TO PERDITION.

Although the biblical translation of this word often means Hell, and to some aptly describes this destination, I prefer the alternate meaning of destruction and loss. The destruction and loss of the entire trinity of the Human being- mind, body and soul; must this be the ultimate fate of humankind?

Instructions on how to travel this lifetime path, are handed out at the earliest juncture in life, and are assimilated at the earliest point of perception. Proffered by the former pioneers of each new generation, they can offer only directions gleaned from the empirical and metaphysical knowledge of a by-gone time; directions as changed as a grown-over path through the forest; signposts outdated by the results of doubt. And yet, we attempt to use these directions to navigate our own newly-cut paths, hewn with the tools of our evolved time.

We may become easily lost, or at best conflicted about which turn to take, which signposts to trust as true and accurate.

Stupidity not being sufficient to doom one to the perdition of zombieland, blind unknowing ignorance, ours as well as that of others- sluggish stagnant streams of conscious thoughts and circumstances of those who have traversed this forest before, are the tributaries that feed the depths of those brackish opaque waters which loom beyond our youth. This river of no return must needs be navigated in a boat stamped with the words: “Theos Epiphanies.” (God manifest), in optimistic hope for safety and survival.

Some, by disassociation from the spiritual self, may travel in a zombie-like gait toward these foreboding shores; the slow and ambling death of the spirit quiescently succeeding the inevitability of the dying flesh. The natural instinct of the human spirit being to growth and survival; it does urge the vehicle of flesh to that lofty state, while in its time. It is this beneficiary of little gratitude that as a mischievous enemy bites the hand of its benevolent benefactor- so to speak- as it seeks the comfort of misery on its return to the bowels of the earth.

It is those who would defy this benefactor of human spirit who risk becoming the sons and daughters of perdition. Drawn by the swelty breath of disillusionment, bitterness, sadness and anger- they walk in a fixed and static gait, as zombies ambling toward a dreaded dying fate.

Ever sensing our unpreparedness we, for the most part, live as supplicants at the altar of time; fear of our arrival to these shores conflicting with hope for that arrival. Our mantra: “not yet Lord, not yet.’

As a man called Jesus once turned the water into wine- we may follow suit and turn the river of perdition into a sea of tranquility. As we shed the worn and tattered cap of physical vanity we may exchange it for a crown of golden dignity and grandeur- spiritual gold, wrought from the laborious mining of our earthly lives.

Thank you so much- I appreciate your acknowledgement of my endowed gift, and you do flatter me by calling it only one of them. To be seen as you truly are, is indeed a gift also- we all have these endowed talents- I recognize yours also- as I've stated before, in my opinion you write wonderfully well- which is also only one of your own talents. Ella, I have to ask; do you write poetry? Or read lots of it? Your turns of phrase have a smooth, subtle rhythm. Well done.

Ella is a writer or more like an evolved writer with a different philosphy on life, more like a truer one and sees something here on Earth the mean are ignorant to. I have to offer something to this also. We are living in such a way here that is not natural or normal. We are living in a lie here focusing on money, wealth, and possessions while life continues to suffer in hunger, despair and cruelty inclusive with nature.

We are supposed to be living naturally with nature, trees, the world itself as part of the world, not part of machines, dictatorship control and lies.

This living horrably affects our spiritually energy, our very being.

If we continue with our horrible beliefs, of money, control, taking of life, ignorance to hunger, sufferiing, greed and selfishness we can or might become zombie like but not physically my friends, spiritually.

If we continue to believe and live in an imbalanced way polluted our world with bacteria and decay while money takes more importance to life itself we are indeed headed down the wrong path here.

True natural living which defines us spiritually, and defines who we are and our spirituall growth is living in freedom from all this control, money and systems.

Its getting to the point where we are calling everything we do and invent a system. Systems are not living energies. If we replace our belief in living energies which is all life and replace them with non-living energies such as machines, computors artificial light and life then we live out these awful low beliefs in our journey and world becomes just as awful as the awful beliefs we insist on living in.

Living and believing in freedom and truth we spiritually fly.

Living and believing in control and lies, we spiritually walk in darkness.

As usual, I am highly gratified by your in-depth comments Kellie. I much appreciate your ability to grasp what some others cannot- that being the meaning of my writing, and why I write the way I do. I think that there is a certain place where we both originate from- it's good to encounter a fellow traveler- it doesn't happen too often, hardly ever, as a matter of fact. Thank you so much- Always Ella

Thank you Ella

A fellow traveller I may be indeed wondering when I will get off this ride of confusion if you know what I mean. I think im here to help and inspire just as you may be here doing the same thing. I'm just happy I woke up to all this remembering who I truely am.

Thanks

Kellie

Hey, I resemble that remark!:-) As usual your punishing style of us more moderate, secular individuals was quite elegant. But how's this for a humanist? You can beat me with a stick or punch me in the gut, gouge me in my eye or kick me on my butt, but no matter what you do I will always love you.

Just another one of your many friends,

Dave

Ahhh...you assume that I have that many friends- you are one of my most valued-one that I am loath to ever lose.....those who must travel fast, travel alone. I am indeed a supplicant at the alter of time- constantly pleading for that which I need most; and yet defeating my purpose a every turn... the conflicting duality of humankind- the flesh continually at war with the spirit. I humbly thank you for your kind repleting visit- do come again . Always Ella

Ella, I appreciate Susan's comment above. In many ways you wrote along lines I have been thinking, except in a simpler stream of thought. I would need to go back and cover point by point for a comment to have true meaning. I will say that there are likely many others standing with you in thoughts regarding disassociation from spiritual self, and, not yet, Lord.

My most recent fractured spirit came to me in this scenario. I grew up as a Bible believing, Jesus believing Christian. Our Faith is built on the accepting the Bible as the Word of God, by Faith. One day while driving, alone in the dark--I thought about the act of using the Bible to prove the authenticity and truth of the Bible. I have been in spiritual crisis fractured modee ever since. I think this is related to the concepts you were discussing, or, I totally misinterpreted your prose. Love--you are never alone--Suzi
